New vision, new growth, new name: Impulse is now Aseva!

How Aseva Supports Local Communities

Community involvement is the process of connecting and collaborating with individuals and organizations to better our local community.  Champions of community involvement help to promote change in their community. Recognizing the significance of community engagement, Aseva prioritizes creative partnerships and projects that address significant issues in our local Santa Barbara County areas.

We recently asked Aseva President, Dave Clark, why community involvement is such an important part of Aseva’s DNA, as well as how Aseva gets involved in the local community.

Question:  Why is Aseva involved in the community?

Dave Clark:  Community and businesses are interconnected and inseparable, so when people ask us why Aseva is involved in the community, I don’t have a better answer than this: we are the community.

Question:  How does Aseva help the local community?

Dave Clark:  We make our community better in three ways:

  1. We help local businesses connect their employees and their customers better, which in turn helps them to become better businesses.  Better businesses provide good jobs, jobs support families, and families are the essence of the community.
  2. Aseva also helps non-profit organizations in our community. We help them  communicate better, which makes them a more effective and successful organization.  But we don’t stop there, we also help to support them financially through our non-profit support program.  For every non-profit organization who is also an Aseva client, we rebate back a portion of a the non-profit organization’s annual spend with Aseva towards a sponsorship of their fundraising events.  Our goal is to create mutually sustainable relationships where we are helping each other grow.
  3. And last, but certainly not least, Aseva makes our community better by offering our employees paid volunteer time to support community cultural events and allow flexibility in work schedules to be active civic participants.

Question:  Why is your volunteerism targeted specifically at cultural events and civic involvement?

Dave Clark:  We recognize that cultural events are important shared experiences that help weave together the fabric of a community. Aseva believes business leaders should be involved in shaping public policy that builds the community.

Our leadership is active in organizations that work to foster vibrant communities with a healthy business community as a cornerstone. We believe that  we can make our local community a better place through volunteerism and community involvement, and we believe this so strongly that it has become a part of how we do business and who we are as a company.
